§1 Responsible Body
The responsible body pursuant to the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) (§ 3 (7)) is Base7Germany GmbH, Karl-Arnold-Platz 1a, 40474 Düsseldorf, Germany.
§2 Collection of Personal Data
In Germany, the meaning of “personal data” is defined in the BDSG. This Act defines personal data as any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. This includes, among other things, information such as your name, address, telephone number, or date of birth.
Unless stated otherwise in the following sections, no personal data will be collected, processed, or used while using this website.
§3 Contacting Us
By contacting us via our online forms or our e-mail-addresses, you can send us inquiries of a general nature. In order to process this request, we will collect your contact details (name and e-mail address). We will store both these data and the correspondence transferred to us and use them exclusively for the purpose for which you transferred it to us and in order to improve our service.
§4 Ordering Services from Us
If you chose to order services from us, we will collect your company’s contact details (name, address, e-mail address, further contact details, details about your business). We will store both these data and any correspondence transferred to us and use them for the purpose of offering our services to you, in order to improve our service and for marketing purposes.
§5 Provision of Services
When we provide services to you, we will store any data you choose to upload to our system on our servers. This comprises of data concerning your business, your employees, and your guests. Upon request, we will be able to provide you with a separate agreement regarding order-data processing pursuant to BDSG (§ 11).
Under German law, we are entitled to use your personal data for marketing purposes concerning our own services. Thus, we are entitled to send you our marketing material via mail without further consent. You can at all times opt out from this usage of your data by contacting us.
Furthermore, German law (German Act Against Unfair Competition (Gesetz gegen den unlauteren Wettbewerb, UWG (§ 7 (3)) allows us to use your e-mail-address for marketing purposes without further consent by sending you e-mails with information regarding our own similar services to the e-mail address you used when booking our services from us. You can at all times opt out from this usage of your e-mail-address by contacting us at no further cost.
We will also use your personal data when you opt in to receive our newsletter. In this case, we will use your e-mail-address to send our newsletter to you, as well as the time stamp of opt-in and opt-out when ordering our newsletter and the IP address used to do so to protect our systems from abuse.
You can at all times opt out from our newsletter by using the corresponding link within each newsletter or by contacting us.
§8 Data Transfer to Third Parties
We will transfer your personal data, with the exception of the cases described herein, only with your prior consent.
When you request us to entertain you with offers from our business partners, we will share the necessary information with our business partners so they can offer the requested services to you.
When making a payment to us, you either disclose your payment information to us or to our payment provider. In both cases, this information will solely be used to process the payment.
We will disclose your data within the scope of German law to third parties or public bodies when we are obliged to do so by an administrative order, a court order, or if applicable laws entitle us to do so, namely in cases of criminal prosecution or if we want to enforce our own claims.
§9 Usage of Cookies
We use so-called ‘session cookies,’ which, depending on the settings in your browser, will be deleted when the browser is closed.
§10 Data Protection
We implement technical and organizational security measures to safeguard stored personal data against inadvertent or deliberate manipulation, loss, or destruction, and against access by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological progress.
§11 Your Rights
Upon written request, we will be glad to inform you pursuant to our obligation by law if and which personal data of yours are stored with us.
Under the conditions of the provisions of the BDSG, you may request correction, blocking, and deletion of such data, unless these requests conflict with statutory time limits for storage.
